The work deals with the animated nature of motorised elements. In a system built entirely of steel, at the centre of the piece there is a figurative-looking structure that slowly rotates horizontally on an axis. This movement is accompanied by a rattling sound of steel beads within the bodies, reminiscent of rain. Once it passes a certain angle, the movable upper part tips over and strikes the middle section. This produces a dull, clanging bell-like sound and sets a motion in motion that runs through the entire piece. This process alternates within the figure and repeats continuously.
While this process initially makes the work appear almost alive, the constant repetition makes it clear that this is the only sequence of actions, thereby emphasising the limited nature of the machine.
